ThermalBoard or Embassy 5611643023 Comfort Track is 16 x 48 inches and has a 5/8 inch low profile that makes it lightweight compared to gypsum or concrete yet it still has good thermal mass. Non-structural Thermalboard 3023 is designed specifically for subfloor radiant heat applications with 3/8 PEX Tubing. Thermalboard is constructed of a dense composite board covered with aluminum that spreads the heat evenly and quickly from the hydronic PEX tubing. Thermalboard 3023 heats rapidly and is easy to control with setback thermostats for maximum energy efficiency. It contains just enough thermal mass to be effective but not so much that it’s difficult to control.
